Gauri's swimming....

Gauri is getting pretty comfortable in water now. She has been going to swimming classes and I used to take her to swim in our club house pool regularly. Though she has not yet learned swimming, she fits her tube around her and moves around the pool. I was getting used to leaving her on her own and swim around in the pool. Though I can barely float I was trying my best to swim. Lucky for me the deepest point in the pool is just 5 feet one feel shorter than I am. Yesterday, Anju and Keerthi also decided to come to the pool to see how Gauri was fairing. Gauri and I were having loads of fun in the pool yesterday. At one point I was on the other end of the pool and Gauri enjoying herself at the shallow end. Taking everyone by surprise, she tips over with the head under water. Anju saw her and shouted me to go and help her. With the tube around her waist it was getting difficult for her to get up. She surely was trying her best to push herself out. By the time I could reach her, she somehow managed to bring her head above water and get some air. I ran to her, lifted her out of water. She puked lot of water. Poor girl, must have drunk a lot of water. We took her to the room and cleaned her up. Everything seemed to have happened very fast. I thought Gauri would be done with her swimming after this. She would never want to come near water. But Acha's brave little girl took the tube, put it around her and jumped back into the pool.
